FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is composition for slashing glass strands consisting of solution having viscosity of less or equal to 400 cP comprising less than 5 wt % of solvent and at least one main system being thermopolymerizable or capable of being cross linked. Said system comprises at least 60 wt % of components having molecular weight of less than 750 and at least 60 wt % of mixture of one or more components having at least one reactive epoxy group and one or more components having at least one reactive amine group, content of the latter being at least 6 wt % of composition. Composition also comprises catalysts, binders, film-forming agents and other additives. Method of using said compositions comprises drawing continuous glass filaments and depositing slashing composition onto surface thereof, successively collecting filaments into strands and winding onto rotating support.
