FIELD: equipment for manufacture of composite fibers. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for manufacture of composite fiber formed by combining multiplicity of continuous single glass filaments and continuous single filaments from thermoplastic organic compound has at least one crucible where glass is supplied. Crucible lower surface is equipped with apertures from which single glass filaments are drawn. Crucible is joined to coating applying device. Apparatus is further equipped with extrusion head to which melted thermoplastic organic substance is supplied. Extrusion head lower surface is also equipped with apertures from which single continuous single filaments of organic material are drawn. Extrusion head is joined to drawing device having at least two drums and to Venturi nozzle, which is used for throwing of single organic filaments on cloth formed from single glass filaments. Apparatus is further equipped with unit common both for crucible and extrusion head and adapted for gathering composite fiber and drawing it by means of, for example, winder similar to winder used for bobbin winding and provided with spindle, and with optical device for identification of cloth composed of thermoplastic single filaments and passed through identification zone. Optical device is connected to electric circuit for controlling rotational speed of at least one drum. EFFECT: increased efficiency by automatic synchronization of drums rotational speed and speed of movement of thermoplastic single filaments, when they come into contact with single glass filaments. 17 cl, 9 dwg
