SUBSTANCE: the cylindrical lock has a body or stator, cylinder or rotor installed for turning inside the body and having a groove for insertion of the key and a great number of locking sleeves installed inside the cylinder with radially arranged axes and designed for engagement with the key, having a preset profile so that it would be located in a position providing for a free rotation of the cylinder inside the body, each of the locking sleeves is installed inside the cylinder, in addition, the lock has means made on the key and on the sleeves engageable with one another, locking member held by the cylinder and shifted by a spring means to the pushed-out position, in which it gets engageable with the seat inside the body, the mentioned locking member is made for free withdrawal to the position of disengagement from the seat. Each of the locking sleeves is installed inside the cylinder for turning about its axis, the means made on the key and on the sleeves engageable with one another are made for turning of each sleeve about its axis to the preset working position at insertion of the key in the cylinder, the mentioned locking member is made for free withdrawal to the position of disengagement from the seat when the sleeves are turned to the working position of key insertion, each of the locking sleeves is installed inside the mentioned cylinder in a fixed position along its axis, the means for turning the sleeves has at least one front finger projection from each locking sleeve and shifted relative to the sleeve axis, and at least one shaped groove formed at least on one side of the key and made for reception of the shifted fingers of the sleeves.
