FIELD: analytical methods in food industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assaying quality of milk and milk products. Method of invention envisages passage of inert gas through milk sample until foam layer is formed, putting milk onto solid sorbent by suppressing foam, drying in rotation evaporator in vacuum, displacement into thermostatically controlled chromatographic column, measurement of retention time of hexane-benzene mixture, determination of hexane and benzene retention volumes at specified gas carrier velocity between 0.08 and 0.66 cu.cm/s, and finding of plasticizer concentration from dependence of benzene retention volume on plasticizer concentration, whereas type of plasticizer is determined from ratio of retention volumes of benzene and hexane.
