FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used by underwater swimmers and various light self- dependent crafts. Characteristic feature of invention lies in employment of fiber-optical interferometer carrying reference and two object fiber coils connected in series. Interferometer is first switched over to operational mode of hydrophone with wide radiation pattern and later after target is detected it is switched over to operational mode of detector of pressure gradient with narrow radiation pattern. EFFECT: increased precision in determination of spatial coordinates of underwater target. 3 dwg
