FIELD: seismology. SUBSTANCE: at least one physical parameters related to volcano activity is controlled in neighborhood of possible eruption of volcano. Present value of parameter is compared with its critical value which indicates that eruption of volcano is most probable. Degree of probability of eruption of volcano is evaluated by value of deviation of present value from critical one. Control over parameters is carried out over periods of time which calendar date and duration are found by astronomical indicators displaying value of gravitational component of volcanic activity. Geocentric longitude of the Sun and ecliptic latitude of the Moon are used as indicators in particular. EFFECT: prediction of time of eruption of volcano with sufficient accuracy without conducting uninterrupted monitoring. 5 cl, 2 dwg
