FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: estimates may be made at industrial enterprises, repair agencies, electrical equipment repair departments, and the like. Estimating device has tool 1 for compressing iron-stack stampings (not shown on drawing) and clamping metering electrodes made in the form of needle contacts to them. Tool 1 has carrying rod 4 threaded throughout its entire length and terminating on one end with cap 5 and on other end, with square neck 6 provided with threaded central hole for wing nut 7 secured by means of screw 8 carrying hold-down plates 9 and 10; each hold-down plate has needle contact 2 or 3 connected to wire leads 11, 12. Hold-down plates are rigid members made of metal. First hold-down plate 9 has non-threaded hole 13 and is secured on carrying rod by means of cap 5, nut 14, and lock nut 15 so that carrying rod 4 is free to rotate within hole of this plate. Second hold-down plate 10 has two holes 16 and 17; hole 16 is threaded and serves to allow carrying rod 4 for displacement over thread; hole 17 is not threaded and receives first end of locking rod 18 whose second end is welded to hold-down plate 9. Each hold-down plate has additional hole for securing needle contacts 2, 3, Each needle contact terminates in threaded rod 19 for fixing by means of nut 20 in additional hole of hold- down plate; rod 19 is insulated from plate by means of gaskets 21, 22, 23, 24 and sleeve fitted onto needle-contact rod 19. Connecting wire leads 11, 12 are connected to instrument 26 that functions to measure insulation resistance of iron stack. EFFECT: improved reliability of estimate results. 2 dwg
