FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves drying motor windings at no shaft load by uniformly heating stator winding phases with zero-sequence currents at standard supply voltage between phases while rotor fan is running. For the purpose standard phase voltage of supply mains is applied to motor stator winding connected in open delta. In the process rotor is forced into pulsed rotary motion together with its fan while its shaft does not carry external load and current desired for drying is passed through winding phases. Method is characterized in that windings are dried out while motor fan mounted on rotor shaft is running. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, improved drying quality. 1 cl, 1 dwg
