SUBSTANCE: product: derivative of 4-deoxy-4-epipodophyllotoxin of the formula (I) where: R1 - H, methyl, benzyloxycarbonyl, lower alkanoyl that can contain one or more halogen atoms or group of the formula Si(Rx)(Ry)(Rz) where radicals are similar or different and each means lower alkyl or phenyl; R - lower alkenyl, lower alkyl containing at least one hydroxyl group, group of the formula (CH2)m-CHO where m = 0-4, lower alkyl containing ketoaldehyde group, or group of the formula (CH2)nNR2R3 where n = 1-6, and radicals are similar or different and each means H, cycloalkyl, group of the formula -N(Ra)(Rb) where radicals Ra and Rb are similar or different and each means lower alkyl or phenyl; or radicals can be combined with formation of lower alkyl-substituted piperazine group; or lower alkyl that can be substituted with hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, phenyl, 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group or group of the formula N(Rc)(Rd) where radicals Rc and Rd are similar or different and each means lower alkyl and R2 and R3 can be combined with formation of cyclic structure. Synthesized compounds were used in medicine as antitumor agents. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis, enhanced effectiveness.
