FIELD: flushing of materials heavily contaminated with clay impurities and production of homogeneous mixtures. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of shock waves and their radiation into working chamber by means of flexible plate mounted under its flexible bottom; one edge of flexible plate is fixed in position and its other edge is hinged in movable support in elastically compressed condition; middle part of plate is joined with flexible bottom of working chamber. Then movable support is set in reciprocating motion together with edge of plate it carries along plate plane. As an alternative acoustic treatment method includes generation of shock waves and their radiation into working chamber by means of flexible plate mounted under its flexible bottom with both its edges secured in movable supports; then supports are set in counter-phase reciprocating motion within plate plane along its longer axis. Acoustic treatment plant has working chamber with flexible bottom and planar shock-wave source in the form of flexible plate mounted under this bottom; plate is mounted in elastically compressed condition with its one edge fixed in position and other one hinged in movable support; plate is joined tightly or through permanent clearance with flexible bottom over maximal-amplitude line; movable support is coupled with electric motor through crank gear. As an alternative plant may have working chamber with flexible bottom and planar shock-wave source under this bottom in the form of flexible plate held in elastically compressed condition; butt-end edges of flexible plate are fixed in position on frame and its middle part is joined with movable support; plate is joined tightly or through permanent clearance with flexible bottom over maximal-amplitude line. Another alternative of acoustic treatment plant has working chamber with flexible bottom and planar shock-wave source under this bottom in the form of flexible plate installed in elastically compressed condition with its butt-end edges hinged on both sides on rotary shafts and its middle part is joined with flexible bottom. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of acoustic treatment of materials. 19 cl, 4 dwg
