FIELD: transport engineering; transmissions of vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed gearbox has housing accommodating input shaft, output shaft and countershaft. Input and output shafts are installed coaxially, and countershaft is installed parallel to input and output shafts. Gears on countershaft are fixed and brought into meshing with gears of coaxial shafts. Gear on output shaft is installed for sliding. Shifter sleeve is also mounted on output shaft with driven reverse gear secured on shifter sleeve. Separate reverse gear with shifter sleeve is installed on axle. Two gears are freely fitted on input shaft with three-position shifter sleeve in between. Four-position shifter sleeve of output shaft is made for selective connection of output shaft with input shaft gear, or with input shaft rim, or with output shaft gear or can occupy neutral position. Separate reverse gear comes into engagement with reverse driven gear secured on four-position shifter sleeve and with reverse driving gear secured on countershaft. EFFECT: reduced metal usage owing to dispensing with one pair of gears, increased efficiency owing to reduction of hydrodynamic losses for stirring the oil. 2 cl, 3 dwg
