FIELD: building, particularly beams made of wood and metal and adapted to construct all-purpose buildings and building structures.
SUBSTANCE: structural beam has height/width ratio of 3.33-3.5. The beam comprises steel core made as I-bar and glued wooden covering plates enclosing the core with congruentially milled mounting surfaces and grooves formed within the limits of 1.1-1.6 angle member thicknesses. The I-bar is composed of angle members welded to central plate having 2:1 thickness. The angle members are provided with riveted connection including two rivet rows. Load-bearing plate has increased height. Vertical flanges of angle members are directed from beam axis of symmetry to edges thereof. Rivet rows are formed from both sides thereof and are arranged between beam section end and horizontal flanges of each I-bar.
EFFECT: increased load-bearing capacity and prevention of wood deformation.
