FIELD: processes for making blanks of sheet material by drawing, possibly in electrical engineering and other industry branches for producing hollow blanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of blanking article and simultaneously shaping it for subsequent drawing; at blanking forming cup in the form of truncated cone whose small diameter is equal to diameter of drawing punch. Inclination angle of cup generatrix is equal to 5-7 degrees. At drawing cup in the form of truncated cone is placed in turning of die in such a way that its less diameter is turned upwards relative to punch stroke direction. EFFECT: enhanced quality of blank due to its improved stability and elimination of crimping. 2 dwg
