FIELD: manufacture of cylindrical products of square blanks.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of blanking square blank from belt or strip; realizing multi-transition combination type drawing; performing all operations by means of cylindrical punch in cylindrical dies; preliminarily forming slopes in corners of square blank. Said slopes are inclined relative to straight lines normal to square diagonals by angle 3 - 5° till their value equal to thickness of ready article wall. Height of slopes consists 1.3 - 1.5 of difference between radiuses of circles described and inscribed to square blank.
EFFECT: lowered number of transitions, simplified design of tool.
