FIELD: mechanical engineering; road vehicle frames. SUBSTANCE: vehicle frame has sidemembers, spring support brackets and variable-section crossmember with low mounting relative to sidemembers, provided with two short linear sections at edges of crossmember and coupled with sidemembers through spring support brackets. Crossmember consists of two bow-shaped channels which are spaced and secured on side surfaces of spring support brackets by vertical walls. Outer surfaces of vertical walls are parallel to each other at sections of connection to spring support brackets. Curved surface of bow-shaped channels form in central part a contour consisting of two similar bow sections described by equal radii whose axes are spaced at equal distance relative to crossmember axis of symmetry, and one straight central section, coupling bow sections, with length equal to distance between axes of radii of curvature of bow sections. Height of channel is constant, and width of channel web is variable, with minimum size in middle. EFFECT: provision of durable multipurpose repairable frame. 2 cl, 4 dwg
