SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing triethanol amine used in lubricants-coolants and hydraulic liquids by reacting by aqueous solution of ammonia with ethylene oxide. Synthesis is carried out in one stage at 40-100 C, pressure of 0.15-0.30 MPa and ammonia ethylene oxide molar ratio of 1:3.34, and the resulting product comprises polyethanol amines and polyglycols.
