FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of ethanolamines, mainly monoethanolamine and diethanolamine. Indicated compounds are used widely for treatment of natural and industrial gases, in production of detergents and cleansing agents, in paint and varnish, cement, perfume and other branches of industry. Method of synthesis of ethanolamines involves interaction of ethylene oxide and anhydrous ammonia in mixing reactor under increased temperature and pressure in the mole ratio of ammonia : ethylene oxide = (8-15):1 up to 60-80% conversion of ethylene followed by evaporation of unreacted ethylene oxide and its recycle. EFFECT: simplified process, decreased amount of ammonia used, increased content of monoethanolamine and diethanolamine in mixture of ethanolamines. 1 tbl, 3 dwg
