FIELD: construction engineering; heat insulation of outer walls. SUBSTANCE: heat insulation used mainly in individual construction is essentially set of air layers formed by stretched films made in the form of strips placed like tile; clearance between strips is formed by thrust members; top edge of strips faces building interior. Efficiency of heat insulation is increased by increasing ratio of overlap width of adjacent strips to width of strips proper; strips may be made in the form of double-folded film whose crease edge corresponds to top edge of strip. Clearance between film sheets is provided by vertical inserts made in the form of laths, 7-15 mm wide; thrust members are made of capron cord whose diameter is 3-7 mm. EFFECT: simplified design; improved comfort. 3 cl, 11 dwg
