FIELD: procedure of dehydration of humid potassium salts, for example, potassium sulfate obtained as a result of interaction of potassium chloride with ammonium sulfate or flotation potassium chloride in a pneumatic drier. SUBSTANCE: method consists in introduction of salt and hot gases in the apparatus, from which they in a "liquefied" state are carried along to the gas cleaning system and separated from gases. The method is featured by the fact that part of dehydrated potassium salts is mixed with the source humid material in relation (0.5-1.5):1.0 in mass, and the obtained mixture is fed to thermal treatment. For mixing preferably used is cyclone dust or fine-dispersed part of dry product. For improvement of the physico-chemical and consumer properties of dehydrated potassium salts use may be made of the known reagents such as binding additives, dust suppressors and anticonsolidators that are added to the mix of potassium salts before it is fed for thermal treatment selectively or in complex. EFFECT: simplified process of dehydration, reduced power consumption, improved physico-mechanical properties of potassium salts. 4 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex
