FIELD: chemical, metallurgical and petroleum industries; preparation of potassium-magnesium fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: synthetic carnallite comprises, wt. %: MgCl2, 32.62; KCl, 24.4; NaCl, 3.58; H2O; 39.4. Synthetic carnallite is suspended in bishofite which comprises, wt.%: MgCl2, 32.33; KCl, 0.26; NaCl, 1.32, and H2O, 66.09 under vigorous stirring, L/S ratio is 1.3. Suspension is fed into single-chamber fluidized bed apparatus with dehydrated carnallite. Rate of gases is up to 3 m/s. Temperature in fluidized bed ranges from 120-175 C. Dehydrated carnallite is withdrawn through discharged device and cyclones to obtain product which comprises, wt.%: MgCl2, 52.01; KCl, 8.25; MgO, 0.34; NaCl, 3.02; H2O, 36.38. Product is homogeneous and has predetermined KCl: MgCl2 ratio. Process is simple. EFFECT: more efficient dehydration method. 3 cl, 6 ex, 1 tbl
