SUBSTANCE: electric kettle has plastic reservoir for liquid to be heated and heating means including electrical component connected to metal heating plate installed near reservoir bottom. Upper surface of heating plate is in contact with liquid to be heated. Side walls of reservoir are provided with flange for supporting peripheral edge of metal heating plate. Packing is provided between side walls and peripheral edge. Reservoir bottom has petticoat for setting on side walls of reservoir; it is attached to reservoir by means of fastenings.
