FIELD: respirator for protecting fireman's and rescuer's respiratory and visual organs from toxic and smoked up gaseous medium. SUBSTANCE: respiratory apparatus with compressed air has balloon with locking and reducing device, face part with member arranged under mask, automatic pulmonary device with cavity positioned under membrane, and supply valve for automatic pulmonary device. Mentioned cavity is communicated via channel with member arranged under mask. Outlet end of supply valve of automatic pulmonary device is connected with face part space via channel isolated from mentioned cavity. Return valve is positioned in supply valve channel, which is equipped with branch pipe communicated with space in member arranged under mask. Branch pipe is positioned between supply valve of automatic pulmonary device and return valve. Apparatus allows excessive pressure to be maintained under face part for the entire period of rescue or firefighting operation and provides protection from gaseous medium unfit for breathing. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 4 cl, 2 dwg
