FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing sample in holder of centrifuge rotor and subjecting to the action of rotating force by continuously driving rotor at predetermined constant acceleration value till complete separation of all seeds, with order of arrangement of seeds in accumulator corresponding to sequence of separation from sample; registering rotational speed of rotor the moment each seed separates from sample; measuring weight of each seed as it separates from sample and determining seed threshing force. Threshing process is visually controlled. Apparatus has centrifuge rotor with sample fixing holder mounted on disk fixed on centrifuge rotor. Primary pulse converter in centrifuge casing is connected to stroboscopic tachometer. Apparatus is further equipped with seed catcher.
