FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of prevention of evaporation of oil, oil products and other organic materials stored in reservoirs. According to proposed method, pontoon made in form of hollow envelope adjoining inner surface of reservoir is placed into reservoir. Then pressure is built in space of pontoon and is maintained constant in process of filling and emptying of reservoir. Device for implementing this method is provided with compressor and gas collector for releasing the pressure, each being coupled with pontoon space through automatic pressure regulator. Pontoon can be provided with fastener in upper part for attaching to upper part of reservoir. Pontoon is made of oil-and-gasoline resistant rubberized cloth or synthetic material.
