FIELD: industrial organic synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: tetrafluoroethylene oxide is prepared via oxidation by oxygen of tetrafluoroethylene at 20-50°C in inert fluorine-chlorine-containing organic solvent in presence of initiator, namely bis(fluoroxy)difluoromethane in amount 0.5-1% based on oxygen.
EFFECT: increased productivity of process and increased content of desired product in reaction gases.
