FIELD: wood-working industry; applicable in production of fiber boards by wet method. SUBSTANCE: method includes milling of ground banknotes and/or equal to then securities; formation of fibrous mat on their basis and its subsequent dewaterizing by vacuum treatment and hot pressing at temperature of 160-180 C. Milling is effected in two stages: at the first stage, up to fiber freeness value of 15-20 DS degrees, then 10-30% of said mass is directed for milling at the second stage up to freeness value of 55-70 SchR degrees. Composition of fibrous mat is formed from 70-90% of mass produced at the first stage, and 30-10% of mass produced at the second stage of milling. EFFECT: simple and low-cost method.
