FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric heating, specifically, to multilayer resistive electric heating elements of surface type, it can be employed for local heating under technological and domestic conditions. Flexible composite electric heater is based on butyl rubber and includes current-conducting layer placed between insulation layers and system of electrodes positioned in parallel and coupled to current-conducting layer. Extreme electrodes and current leads are located along edges of current conducting layer. Characteristic feature of flexible composite electric heater lies in placement of electrodes in current-conducting layer in groups including two or more electrodes. Ends of electrodes in each group ate electrically intercoupled, placed into insulation shell and brought out as current leads. EFFECT: uniform heating of entire surface of electric heater, reduced usage of metal and increased functional reliability of electric heater. 2 dwg
