FIELD: design of building structures. SUBSTANCE: way to remove ice from water drains of roofs of buildings and structures includes controllable electric heating of internal volume of wall tubular water drain depending on temperature of ambient air and availability of snow-and-ice mass inside water drain. Novelty of invention consists in addition in determination of availability of water across inlet to wall tubular water drain and in electric heating of internal volume of wall tubular water drain by separate sections in range of temperatures of ambient air from -5 to +5 C. Power of electric heating of sections located across inlet and outlet to wall tubular water drain is set greater as compared with internal sections. EFFECT: reduced consumption of energy for electric heating, raised efficiency of heating thanks to surface-distribution heat removal. 1 dwg
