FIELD: operation of heat-electric aggregates, specifically, railway diesel locomotives. SUBSTANCE: adjustment is conducted predominantly during rheostat tests of traction heat-electric aggregates. Measurement of values of fuel consumption and power generation within limits specified per each operational mode is used as its basis. Aggregate is brought in turn to several intermediate operational modes in upper part of total range. Cycle of measurement and registration of operational parameters of aggregate under various electric load is conducted under each operational mode. Rational value of power under maximum mode for which correction of matching system is carried out is chosen by result of analysis of parameters.
