FIELD: nuclear power engineering; designing and manufacturing nuclear reactor fuel assemblies. SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly has lengthwise arranged spacer grids for hexagonal fuel element bundle, supporting members in the form of angle plates fixed to spacer grid and to lower end cap, as well as guide channels mounting guide bushes spaced from ends of spacer grids by maximum 1.5 mm. Guide bushes mounted at first spacer grid along coolant flow are arranged on lower end and those at remaining spacer grids, on upper end. Proposed design provides for reducing deformation of spacer grids and fuel elements during their interaction as well as reduced variations in shape of fuel assembly and its separate fuel elements. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, improved uniformity of mechanical thrusts among fuel assembly components. 3 cl, 4 dwg
