FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed freight/passenger duty selector which of air distributor has housing 1, spring-loaded movable partition 2 with rod 3, intermittent-duty valve 4, fixed partition 5 with through throttling hole 6. Duty selector switch handle 7 and spring 8 of partition 2 are arranged in atmospheric space 9. Partitions 2 and 5 form space 10. Space 11 is coupled through channel 12 with brake cylinder 13, through throttling hole 6, with space 10, and through intermittent- duty valve 4, with valve space 14. Selector switch is provided with throttled channel 17. Channel 15 is made in housing 1. Throttled channel 17 provides constant communication of brake cylinder 13 with air distributor 16. Channel 15 places valve space 14 in communication with air distributor 16. Spring 8 acts onto movable partition 2 with force corresponding to valve of pressure jump in brake cylinder 13 at freight duty of air distributor 16. With air distributor 16 at passenger duty, handle 7 keeps intermittent-duty valve 4 open. EFFECT: provision of stable pressure jump value in brake cylinders of freight train, equal over its length at beginning of braking process, stabilization of initial braking moment precluding longitudinal dynamic reactions in train at braking. 1 dwg
