FIELD: preparation of incombustible heat-and sound-insulating liquid glass based materials in building, aircraft, machine-building industries and transport. SUBSTANCE: method comprises feeding original mixture and foaming thereof in heat plant in continuous mode at atmospheric pressure and at initial temperature from initial evaporation of unbonded water from original mixture; original mixture is supplied at layer thickness thereof of not more than 5 mm, foaming is carried out in heat plant having open-type diffuser shape with maximum, diffuser height of up to 50 mm to melting temperature of hardened porous material. Inner portion of heat plant and dies is covered with antiadhesive antifriction coating, foaming of original mixture is carried out in the presence of metallic powders which react chemically with liquid glass solution to form salts and gaseous products, and supply of original mixture through dies is carried out in continuous mode at rate that allows for forming and breaking away liquid composition droplets. EFFECT: simplified practice, reduced manufacturing cost, wider field of functional suitability of the resulting materials. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
