FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel omega-hydrofluoroalkyl esters that are in liquid state under normal conditions and show properties of surface-active substances and can be used for water displacement from surfaces, in compositions used for removal of pollutant from article, in composition used in fire extinguishing, for foam plastic making, in soldering in vapor phase. Esters correspond to the formula (I): where H is hydrogen atom in terminal group CF3; Rf, Rf′ and Rf″ are taken independently from the group consisting of linear unsubstituted perfluoroalkylene groups or perfluoroalkylene groups substituted with perfluoroalkyl being Rf has 4-9 carbon atoms in chain; Rf′ has 1-6 carbon atoms in chain; Rf″ has 2-6 carbon atoms in chain; n = 0-7 but at n = 0 Rf has perfluorocycloalkyl-substituted perfluoroalkylene group with 6-10 carbon atoms where one or more carbon atoms in Rf can be substituted with oxygen atoms; Rf′ Rf″ are taken independently among the group of linear unsubstituted perfluoroalkylene groups having 1- 4 carbon atoms in chain. Method of synthesis of esters involves decarboxylation of the corresponding perfluorocarboxylic acid or its ester by mixing with inorganic base solution in protonic solvent followed by heating. Invention involves also novel perfluorocarboxylic acids or their esters as the parent compounds used for synthesis of esters of the formula (I).
