FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of intake manifolds of spark-ignition internal combustion engines. Invention is aimed at increasing quality of fuel-air mixing in intake manifold owing to intensive evaporation of liquid fraction of fuel. This is provided by heaters installed on inner surfaces of each branch pipe of intake manifold. Heaters consist of spiral coils of wire or other material with positive specific resistance coefficient. Coils of wire are arranged on insulating bases and are heated by electric current to 145-165 C. Owing to evaporation of liquid fraction of fuel, mixture forming process is improved, and liquid fraction of fuel does not get into engine cylinders. EFFECT: reduced wear of cylinder-piston groups toxicity of exhaust gases, cut down fuel consumption, provision of reliable starting of engine from cold at below-zero temperatures. 1 dwg
