FIELD: heat and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding liquid heat-transfer agent to heating zone from upwards on rotating shell for forming thin-film liquid layer of said agent; discharging heated liquid agent out of rotating shell from downwards; in housing of plant providing forced flowing around shell of hot combustion products from heat source at sides of inner and outer surfaces of shell at suction of combustion products out of housing of heating plant. Heating plant includes heat exchanger in the form of cylindrical shell having bottom, open from upward and mounted with possibility of rotation. At bottom side shell is provided with annular hollow protrusion. Outlet of pipeline for supplying cold heat-transfer agent is arranged over inner surface of shell. Inlet portion of pipeline for discharging hot heat-transfer agent is arranged in annular cavity of protrusion of shell. The last is mounted in such a way that together with walls of housing it forms gas-removing duct for discharging combustion products from side of outer surface of protrusion. Vanes are mounted on shell protrusion for forming together with walls of housing centrifugal compressor in zone of discharging combustion products.
