FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines for driving electric generators at thermoelectric power plants. SUBSTANCE: engine for power-generating units has cylindrical housing end face covers with seals in form of cylinders resting on rotor ribs, and on housing. Engine has housing cooling jackets. Power-generating unit has several series-connected and installed in parallel unified engines - steam generators, expanding gas, steam-gas and steam engines, each containing units and parts similar to those of engine. Power-generating unit uses gas, fuel oil, crushed coal, shavings and waste materials for its operation. It uses also hot smoke from industrial flame furnaces and waste heat boilers. Power-generating unit includes fuel preparation set, engine-steam generator, expanding and delivering machines, gas and steam-gas separators and heat exchanger. EFFECT: increased unit power and fuel serviceability owing to increased combustion temperature of fuel-air mixture. 7 cl, 10 dwg
