FIELD: measurement technology, automatic calibration of tanks of gas-filling stations and oil tank farms. SUBSTANCE: method of calibration of tanks includes entry of initial data of tank, operational conditions, determination of levels at which calibration parameters are computed into computer, filling of tank up to preset level, measurement of calibration parameters and calculation of calibration with due account of temperature of filling liquid. Oil products are supplied to consumers after stabilization intervals lasting 90 s as minimum. Device for calibration of tanks has indicating units of level indicator positioned at fixed levels of tank with spacing of 10-40 mm and facility supplying liquid comes in the form of standard fuel-distribution station with temperature- sensitive element and volume counter.
