FIELD: technological processes, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for calibration of metal reservoirs, in particular, at petrol stations tank farms of warehouses, petroleum storage depots and oil storages, and also for primary and periodical calibration of capacity measures. Reservoir is continuously filled with liquid through the quantity counter. Level, volume and temperature of filled liquid is measured at several levels of filling, angle of reservoir incline is measured prior to beginning of calibration and after every cycle of dose filling, hydrostatic pressure and density of liquid after every cycle of dose filling for further formation of calibration table. As level meter the buoy of preset mass and area is used, which is connected to weight sensor. Level of liquid in reservoir after completion of dose filling cycle is determined with the help of given dependence. Invention allow to increase accuracy of metal reservoirs calibration, which have incline and deformation from hydrostatic pressure of liquid column, at the account of reduction of dynamic component of level measurement inaccuracy, thus to reduce the losses at quantity accounting of oil products. Method of calibration reduces expenses for maintenance of tank farm at the account of application of deformed reservoirs, which have not served out their terms and have been calibrated.

EFFECT: increase accuracy of metal reservoirs calibration and reduction of expenses for maintenance of tank farm.
