FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in identification of analytical model of dependence of fluid volume on filling depth with due allowance for departure of tank bearing surface from horizon. Said identification consists in defining numerical values of tank geometrical parameters and those of its position relative to horizon. Said analytical model of dependence of fluid volume on filling depth with due allowance for departure of tank bearing surface from horizon with definite numeral values makes calibration characteristic of given tank. Identification consists in solving set of equations relating measured volume of fluid filled in tank with varying filling depth after every filling or with varying current filling depth. Note here that the number of equations may not be smaller than that of initial tank geometrical parameters.
EFFECT: tank capacity analytical model.
