FIELD: electrical engineering; transformers, reactors, and other magnetic circuit components. SUBSTANCE: magnetic core is made of magnetically soft alloy powder whose structure has at least 50% of crystals measuring below 50 nm and incorporates nickel, copper, molybdenum and/or chromium, and/or tungsten, niobium and/or tantalum, and/or vanadium, silicon, boron, iron, and filler. According to invention proportion of ingredients is as follows, atom percent: nickel - 0.1-2.0; copper - 0.5-2.0; one or more ingredients of group containing molybdenum, chromium, tungsten - 0.5-5.0; one or more ingredients of group containing niobium, tantalum, vanadium - 0.1- 4.5; silicon - 5.0-18.0; boron - 4.0-12.0; iron - the rest. Powder is compressed to form plates whose surfaces are oriented along core magnetic line of force. Thermal treatment can be made in the open without impairing high magnetic properties of core.
