FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cores of chokes should have high value of maximum magnetic field within which magnetic permeability does not change practically. Rigid strip core manufactured in compliance with this invention is produced from magnetic alloy which has partially crystallized amorphous structure. Non-solidified inorganic adhesive is located in space between turns of core. Alloys based on iron having large value of constant of magnetostriction are proposed as magnetic alloy. Volumetric share of crystalline phase does not exceed 50% and is distributed in surface layer of strip. Sodium silicate is used as inorganic adhesive. Manufacturing process includes winding of strip into core, its impregnation and annealing. Impregnation is conducted with inorganic adhesive and annealing is performed so that magnetic core has partially crystallized amorphous structure. EFFECT: expanded application field of rigid strip cores. 17 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
