FIELD: energy generation from nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: energy is generated from fuel contained in chamber by reproducing fissile element from breeding fuel element through beta-precursor of mentioned fissile element, and fission of fissile element. Thorium may be used as main component of nuclear fuel. High- energy particle beam is conveyed to chamber for interaction with heavy nuclei contained in chamber to produce high neutron energy. Neutrons obtained are bred under subcritical conditions by way of conversion and fission. Generation and fission processes are conducted inside chamber. EFFECT: eliminated continuous reprocessing of nuclear fuel in energy generation cycle. 36 cl, 21 dwg, 5 tbl
