FIELD: nuclear physics. SUBSTANCE: method for producing molybdenum-99 radioisotope includes irradiation of fuel compound containing fissionable material which is, essentially, melt fluoric salts wherein fission-produced molybdenum does not form stable soluble compounds. Irradiation is conducted in neutron produced by nuclear investigation plant. Molybdenum accumulated in gas-aerosol phase above salt melt surface and separated from main mass of fissionable material and from fission fragments contained in salt is brought out of this phase by blowing down with inert gas. Then this current is sent to gas-aerosol phase trapping system. Radioisotope Mo-99 settled down in system is conveyed for radiochemical separation. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 9 cl
