FIELD: radiation chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of preparations of tin radionuclides from impurities of antimony, iron, cobalt, manganese and zinc radionuclides. Method involves preparing tin (IV) chloride solution containing citrate ions and hydrochloric acid. Tin is precipitated as metal by means of contact of prepared solution with metallic aluminum. Precipitate of metallic tin is separated from aluminum by means of contact with hydrochloric acid solution or alkali, for example, sodium hydroxide. Tin is washed out with hydrochloric acid solution. Method provides to attain the treatment index 14 from antimony, 450 from cobalt and zinc, aluminum content is less 0.05% of tin mass. EFFECT: improved method of treatment. 2 cl, 2 tbl
