FIELD: metal treatment under pressure. SUBSTANCE: device used for producing horsed joint of adjacent shaped edges of metal stripes in the course of roofing in private construction has side cheeks joined together by motionless cross-bar, bending turning member which is essentially shaft of irregular-shape cross-section with annular projections on its ends; mentioned projections enter slots made in inner walls of side cheeks. Position of geometric axis of shaft turn is chosen so that shaft is free to turn through angle not greater than 90 deg. ; side cheeks have openings for passing edges of metal stripes through them. Device has two handles: one is installed in the middle of motionless cross-bar and other, in the middle of shaft. Method ensures manufacturing simple and compact device for producing horsed joint and for working directly on roof, as well as for manually carrying the device.
