FIELD: optics, instrumentation engineering, medicine. SUBSTANCE: device designed for light energy conversion has incoherent radiation source with focusing system and cascaded fiber splitters with single optical fiber at output. Cone-shaped fibers are tightly abutting against each other in each splitter and their output ends are interconnected. Splitters are connected in parallel within each cascade and cascades are connected in series so that number of fibers at input of each cascade Nn = mn, where N is number of fibers at input of each cascade; n is cascade number (n ≤ 5); m is number of fibers in splitter (m ≤ 6). Device may be mounted in sealed case and provided with heat sink. EFFECT: enhanced radiation power. 4 cl, 3 dwg
