FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed self-propelled forage harvester has frame, cabin, engine, rear axle of steerable wheels, cutting table, feeder and cutterhead and discharge chute, all mounted on frame which is made spatial. Upper sidemembers of frame are arranged over cutterhead and are connected with lower sidemembers by four posts. Rear posts are interconnected by crossmember. Spatial part of frame in its lower part is provided with driving wheel final reduction gear fastener. Front ends of lower sidemembers are interconnected by front crossmember. Upper sidemembers are interconnected by two crossmembers, minimum. EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life of harvester owing to increased rigidity of frame and improved mass and dimensional characteristics. 13 cl, 9 dwg
