FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: header has plated conveyor arranged on sprockets of drive shaft and on tensioning sprockets of front beam. Plated conveyor is driven by drive shaft. Conveyor tension adjustment mechanism has front beam composed of two parts, each having guiding sleeves and poles with brackets. Bolt receiving openings are made in brackets. Bolts are fixed in threaded pins. By rotating respective bolts, each part of front beam is caused to move along respective pin for adjusting the extent of tightening header conveyor. EFFECT: increased efficiency by uniform tightening of conveyor chains and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg
