FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: an aqueous solution of oxytetracycline hydrochloride is neutralized by alkali solution. Precipitated residue of oxytetracycline foundation is filtered, washed by distilled water and in a moistened condition suspended in 70% against calculated amount of dimethylacetamide (DMA). In a certain suspension sample the content of oxytetracycline is determined by the well-known methods, for example, spectrophotometrically. Due to analysis data obtained the final solution volume (at oxytetracycline content of 200 mg/ml) is calculated and necessary amounts of other components: DMA, apyrogenic water, sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, magnesium oxide, after cooling to a room temperature (exothermic reaction), apyrogenic water to calculated volume which should be added into suspension in above-mentioned order. EFFECT: increased stability of injection-fit oxytetracycline magnesium complex solution obtained out of its hydrochloride that contains about 300 mg/ml antibiotic. 1 tbl, 1 ex
