WATER-PUMP BEARING ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: pump manufacture. SUBSTANCE: water-pump bearing assembly has shaft with turning unit and locking member installed in central hole of water pump casing. Internal surface of central hole has groove intended for installation of split locking member. Turning shaft has cylindrical projection relative to places for installation of bearings. One of bearings has seal at its end face to prevent dust and dirt penetration. Inner race of both bearings are mounted on shaft with push fit. Bearing upper races are fixed relative to body central hole due to installation of locking member in groove, and fixed from opposite side by means f end face. Body has threaded hole in which oilier is accommodated. Internal projection of body has open hole made square to central hole. Split locking member has asymmetrical profile and nonuniform section over entire contour of asymmetry, and hole for its installation. EFFECT: increased service life and operating reliability. 4 dwg
